Leafy Landscapes was founded in 2007 by Rob Rist and Drew Henderson. Rob and Drew were roommates while attending Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach Florida. In a quest to earn extra money during their junior and senior year of college they began mowing lawns and started Leafy Landscapes. After graduating in 2008, both Rob and Drew decided to continue growing the company due to the downturn in the aviation industry during the last recession. As the economy crawled out of the recession, in 2013 Drew decided to continue his venture in aviation and joined the United States Air Force where he currently is a flight instructor for drone pilots and is living in New Mexico.
Rob has grown to have a true passion for the landscape industry and business. He understands the importance of education in the landscape industry and in Florida’s plant material. Rob takes this knowledge and educates his employees and clients resulting in a high quality end product that his clients are happy with and that the company can be proud of and confident in. Rob feels that in many situations, the landscape industry is lacking professionalism and great customer service. His goals are to give his clients individual attention and personalized care of a small company, but have the capabilities and assets of a large company. At, Leafy Landscapes, we strive to treat our customers as clients and not just customers. The company focus is on the overall look and health of the landscaping, not just a specific service we are providing. All of our employees are uniformed and trained to do their job properly. Our friendly office staff promises we will always answer the phone, and find an answer or solution for your question. If you have service concerns, someone from our staff will promptly meet with you and inspect your property needs. All of our employees are dedicated, hardworking people that have been equipped and trained to perform work in a correct and safe manner.
At Leafy Landscapes, we do the job ‘RIGHT.”
