Our team is passionate and experienced, and our crews are skilled, neat and polite. That is important to us! We have the ability to serve all your landscape needs.
Our focus is creating a great end product, not being the lowest priced. We refuse to let ourselves to get so caught up in winning a job over price that it would set ourselves up for failure when it comes time to deliver. This is not to say we can’t find solutions to save money without jeopardizing the quality of our work or end product. You will find that our proposals are extremely detailed including all labor and products needed to complete your project. Due to our experience, our proposals are
accurate the first time, so there are no surprises later.
First, an estimator will first walk with you to gather as much information needed to complete an accurate and detailed proposal. There is no need to have to know every step or product needed, our landscape estimators have a lot of experience, and training to make recommendations on everything that may be needed for the project including irrigation/drainage needs, recommended plants/products, and short/long term maintenance needs. Most proposals will be completed on-site, reviewed in detail, and emailed to you immediately after the review. If the proposal requires more time, the estimator will complete your proposal within 1-3 days. Your estimator is always available by phone or email to answer any questions you may have.
We love being involved in the design process, and making it a fun and exciting experience for our clients. From beginning to end, this process usually takes 7-10 days. Our designer can help create a vision or help finish yours. We know which plants or trees will do well in specific areas, what plants or colors look great together, and how much maintenance will be needed long term. Our designer is great at visualizing the project on paper, anticipating problems, and providing solutions to result in a product you will be happy with for a long time.
Step One – Consultation: Our designer will meet with you to understand your vision and budget, give you recommendations, and go over the process. He will then take pictures and measurements of your property to ensure an accurate design and proposal.
Step Two – Design: Within 2-3 days after your consultation visit, you will be emailed a computerized design of your vision including real pictures of the actual plant and/or hardscape material. This will give you a chance to review, request changes, and ask questions. Requested design changes will be emailed back to you as soon as possible. After you have received your first design, we usually complete this step within 1-2 days and finalize a design that matches your vision.
Step Three – Nursery Visit (Optional): This step is optional, but highly recommended to ensure your satisfaction with the plant choices and sizes. If necessary, design changes will be emailed to you as soon as possible.
Step Four – Detailed Proposal: Within 1-3 days of finalizing your design, a detailed proposal will be completed and emailed to you. At this point our designer will be available either by email or by phone to answer any questions you may have.
Leafy Landscapes offers a wide variety of services, but over half of our volume of landscape services provided are sod renovations. Our sodding services include:
The following steps are what you can expect when choosing Leafy for your next sod renovation:
Step one – Leafy has sod down to such a science that our prices are based off of the square footage of the area. You will be provided a quote right on the spot. No waiting! The price is guaranteed unless you decide to change the quantity. No surprises!
Step two – Do you have a lot of weeds? Before we remove anything from your property, a technician will be scheduled to spray and kill any existing weeds in the area needing replaced. The area sprayed will die in about 1-2 weeks.
Step three – On the day of your renovation a friendly crew will remove your existing turf using a sod cutter. Then they will manually rake and grade the area in preparation for the new sod.
Step four – Once the preparation is completed we will begin to install your chosen turf. We try to always purchase our sod from local farmers to stay consistent with quality, and to keep your money in the local economy. After the sod is installed, the crew will roll your new sod and apply a high potassium fertilizer.
Step five – After we have completed the job you are not alone. Your crew leader will hand you a packet explaining everything you will need to do to care for your new turf, and will take the time to explain everything.
In your “initial sod care packet” you will have contact information for our service manager. Our service managers are always there to answer any questions or concerns you may have. Growing sod can sometimes be overwhelming and frustrating. Let us help you grow a healthy and lush lawn.
Are you working on a project, and need a little more POWER? Our machine operators are billed by the hour plus disposal fees. We can also provide you a proposal if necessary. Our equipment services include:
Bobcat/Tractor Services
Small Excavation Services
After we complete a landscaping project, we would love to maintain it for you. We offer a list of landscape management services including, but not limited to grounds maintenance, mulching, irrigation inspections, palm & tree trimming, and lawn & shrub care services. Maintenance is something a lot of clients don’t think about until it is too late. Just let your estimator know at any time during the project. Standard Warranty: We provide a one (1) year warranty on any defects in our workmanship, and a 90 day warranty on all plant material. The standard warranty does not cover any issues due to poor maintenance (not watering properly, chemical treatments as needed, etc.) We will educate you as much as possible, but it is up to you to educate yourself, ask questions, and implement action.
Extended Warranty: This is the “sit back, and let us take care of it” warranty. If you sign up for our lawn maintenance, irrigation, fertilization, and weed control programs we will extend our workmanship and plant material warranty to three (3) years.
We would love to hear from you about your experience so we can personally give your technician a pat on the back. This also helps us to find the best technicians to guarantee you continue to receive outstanding service.
Achieving a green, healthy lawn is an already difficult process that is made even more challenging by the constant threat of pests. We can control certain things about our lawn, such as watering, mowing, and fertilizing, but wildlife and insects are much harder to manage. Though not always entirely preventable, there are still plenty of solutions to drive away these critters and allow your yard to flourish.
